After several months of discussion with Brisbane City Council, work has finally started on the new carpark at Barungwarra. Here is the progress report as it happens Monday 15th October. Tree removal contractors started work on the removal of vegetation for the new car park. The area alongside the road way where the Turkey’s nest is located, is out of bounds to the contractors at the moment. Here is a before and after photo of the St Paul’s Garden bed which had now been cleared. The two areas of Tea Tree growth alongside the car park has also been removed. On the eastern side (far side) of the car park, a large area has been cleared However, if you look at the bottom right picture you will notice that some vegetation near the cones has not been removed at this is the location of the bush Turkey nest Here is a 360 pano shot of the area as at 5.00 PM Monday I have arred comments in case you are not familiar with the Panoramic concept.
