the year. All are welcome to come and help.

For a few hours, the reserve was transfoumed into a haven for make believe diamond smuglers, tourists
and customs officers as the scouts from Bramble Bay district took part in a roll playing wide game. The
tourists tried to bargain with the smugglers to buy the diamonds at the best possible price and then sell
them to the local storekeeper at a good profit At the same time, the customs officers wer trying to catch
the smugglers in the act, in which case they would be transferred to the local jail and have to do some
scouting tasks (like showing their knot tying skills) before being released to continue with the
game..Tourists were given $500 and were scored on the profit they returmed in a 2 hour period. Amazingly,
some tourists were able to hand in $4000 at the end of the session.

Our Bushies worked on the mountain of Mulch provided by the Brisbane City Council. We are continuing to
spread some of it over the large salt pan near the car park and we can already see grass starting to grow.
Other members continue with weed removel, but our numbers are not large enough to allow us to attack
all the beds..
Saturday 19th April 2013
We began spreading some mulch over the large Salt Pan to see if it will encourage geass the grow over
the area. This remains the only area not covered by grass or beds, and it has long been the ambition of
our Bushies to encourage some grass to grow in this area.
